A New Year

A Happy and Blessed New Year to all my blogging friends. I wish for you a year that is filled to the brim and overflowing with all the Lord's rich blessings! I have been absent from here for awhile and catching up now with blog visits and posting on my blogs.I am hoping now to keep up with my posts and will try to post here 2-3 days a a week. Please see my other blog "Simple Blessings" which I post on a Monday.

Sharing with you some photos of our snowfall last month and a Winter that has been our worst for over a hundred years! So pretty but oh so cold!!!

I  wanted to share a devotional by Roy Lessin and he talks of how God surrounds us and loves us and I  wanted to share his words of encouragement for 2011.

God is for you
God loves you
God will guide you
God will not fail you
God will be with you
God will bless you
God will give you rest
God will strengthen you
God will answer you
God will uphold you
God will keep you

How comforting these words are and how wonderful to know we can turn to our Heavenly Father anytime-He is always there for us. I am also reminded of a beautiful plaque I bought while in the States on vacation with the following words and I am sure many of you will have seen this before:

"Before you go to bed give your troubles to God........He will be up all night anyway.."

Another very comforting thought that we can talk to our Heavenly Father at any time!

word. I love the Roy Lessin poem. He is
    a favorite of mine.
We set a record here for the most snow
on Christmas day in eighteen years. It
is so beautiful. I love it.
    Happy New Year!

  6. Beautiful pictures. What you wrote by Roy Lessin was just what I needed. I have a loved one going through a trial due to his own mistakes. I plan to send it to him and I pray this will encourage him.

We are expecting snow tomorrow - maybe I'll take some pictures:)

    Happy Monday....
