A Beautiful Morning

The sun is shining through the window today and not a cloud in the sky! How I love these days.

I am looking so forward to Thursday as my daughter is going to take me out for the day to celebrate my birthday. I will be sure to take my camera with me to capture all our special moments. I love days spent with family and friends.

For me another morning of reflection and I have been sitting here thinking. I have been remembering the journey the Lord has been taking me on. A journey where I have had nowhere to go except to Him. He has been the one who has given me the strength for my climb! You see I  have learnt that these trials have been a test of my faith and character. He has been the one with me through some dark valleys and waiting for me when I reached that mountain top!

Often we encounter circumstances in our lives that are places of beauty and joy and how we love these places don't we? We can quickly become complacent. And then we come to places of pain hurt and despair! My journey last year was that one of despair, tears, hurt and pain. Through all of this the Lord was teaching me that He was using me and my pain for good. Of course it has been difficult and I have resisted and tried to go my way! I have learnt that the Lord is in control always. I have so much to share and I look forward to opening my heart with you as I journal here.

A bible verse I am reminded of is:

"And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God,to them that are called according to His purpose."
                       Romans 8:28

I would like to share another photo of my daughter Natalie and her partner James taken in Georgia. This was taken two years ago when we visited my sister.

  1. Hi Linda, I liked this post today. I felt like I was sitting next to you and you were just talking to me. I used Romans 8:28 in my post on Sunday. I feel like God is trying to reveal Truth to us about unifying our hearts with His and allowing Him to bring His perfect plan to pass in our life. He does not bring bad things to our lives, but He will always use them to bring about His good ultimate plan if we will trust Him to do so. So many times, we think that the issues that we deal with on earth is what life is all about and really life is Christ in us! And truly living is experiencing Him in all that we encounter.
I hope you have a wonderful birthday this week. My birthday is tomorrow too. April must be a good month to be born. :)

  2. Hi Linda! I'm so glad that you got a beautiful morning! I know you say these are rare in England - as you can get 4 seasons in one day. :-)

I have been amazed at your journey this past year Linda. The Lord has truly worked in you & in your life. It's been a gift to share this with you & be there with you & for you. God is good, & I'm so grateful that He gives us sweet friends to share our journeys with. Love you!!!
