A Difficult Season

Today was a turning point in my life and my favourite bible verse came to mind this morning....

"Trust in the Lord with all thine heart:and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him,and He shall direct thy paths.".............Proverbs 3:5-6

How I have clung to this verse over the past year as I walked through a difficult season and the Lord worked on me! How He has used the heat of my trials to mold and perfect me. How He has softened my heart to enable me to be the voice of compassion and wisdom to help others. My challenges have been a training ground and I have been through all my valleys for a reason. The Lord works all things together for good and my pruning is so that I can bear fruit!!!!

Today I met with a representative at the hospital where I work as an RN and in my position as a Ward Manager. This meeting was to discuss where I should go now after my absence from work due to illness. I have felt more and more that the Lord is leading me away from this and closing this door.My heart is hurting and I feel so confused but I am trusting the Lord to guide me and show me where He would like me to be. This brings me to to another favourite verse......

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil,to give you an unexpected end.".............Jeremiah 29-11

I am so reminded that real hope is when I can't see the end of the road but I am still trusting the Lord to lead me there!!

I so look forward to sharing more of my journey with you and I would like to introduce my two daughters-Laura and Natalie who have been "rocks in my journey."

  1. Linda,

I know it's been a very difficult time for you. It's hurt me to see you go through so much, but we know that God has been so faithful through this time of your life. I see such change in you! I'm praying that He will direct your steps (& He will), & give you wisdom as to which way He wants you to go.

Loved the pics of Laura & Natalie. I still have the image of them as little children! Time marches on, & they grow up! How dare they??? :-) Love you Linda. Off to email you now.

  2. Linda, I loved the verses that have sustained you through this valley. Those same two verses have sustained me many times. I love them.

I hope that God makes his plans known to you soon, but we learn while we wait.

    Great pictures of your daughters.
    Hugs,
    Cindy

  4. Hi Linda,
Your daughters are beautiful! Thank you for sharing their photos. :-)

That verse is one my favorite verses..it speaks so much, doesn't it? And it is so reassuring to know that God is with us now, will be all through our journey and is already there at the end!

    love to you
