Today I was thinking that it might be a good idea to give you some background about me!
I live in England and I am a Mother,Partner,Nana, Sister,Aunt,Sister-In-law,Cousin,Friend and a Registered Nurse.
Family is so important to me as friends are too! I love the Lord and He has been taking me on a journey of learning and growth over the past year. This has not been an easy journey and it has been filled with many tears, pain and heartache. I know He has not promised blue skies always and it is in these valleys I have grown!! One thing I can say for sure, is I can see how His mighty Hand has worked in my life!
I love my job as a nurse and I would call this a vocation rather than work! I have been an RN since I left school. I have a passion for ensuring that my patients experience is the absolute best! I just could not imagine doing anything else!
I am looking forward to sharing my journey with you so jump aboard and you will see how my days are truly "Touched By Grace!!"
As you know I have a love and huge collection of quotes and inspirational writings. I would like to share the following poem...............
"My Life Is But A Weaving."
My life is but a weaving
between my Lord and me
I cannot choose the colours
He worketh steadily
Oft times He weaveth sorrow,
And I,in foolish pride
Forget He sees the upper
And I the underside.
Not 'til the loom is silent
and the shuttles cease to fly
Shall God unroll the canvas
and explain the reason why.
The dark threads are as needful
in the weaver's skillful hand.
As the threads of gold and silver
in the pattern He has planned.
He knows, He loves,He Cares
nothing this truth can dim.
He gives His very best to those
who leave the choice with Him.

I would like to share two photos. One is of a double rainbow-I captured this in my back garden after a heavy rain. This so reminds me of God's promise. The other is of Bourton-On-The-Water in the Cotswolds. A place I visit often. It is so tranquil and peaceful here.
Hi Linda! Such a lovely post. I am glad that you have let your readers know a bit more about you. I only wish they knew the person that I know behind those words - an incredible woman, one that loves the Lord so deeply, & a loyal friend. So much more, but I would have to write an entire post, & a lengthy one at that, to showcase you! :-)
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the poem that you shared...so beautiful! The photos too...what a lovely rainbow. Susan will love seeing that, as she loves rainbows. And of course, Bourton-On-The-Water - one of my favorite places! I have so many wonderful memories of going there often. It is a very peaceful place. Sending you big hugs Linda. Just think - you made it through your first week of blogging! :-) Look forward to many more weeks...years. :-) Hugs
Judy..........
