Psalm 23

Running through my mind today was thoughts about how anxiety and worry rob us of joy. We find ourselves worrying about what is going to happen tomorrow and the next day and so on! Often decisions we make affect not only our lives but others too-our family, our friends and our neigbours. Our lives touch everyone we know so we worry if we are making the right choices and decisions? So we all need a shepherd.

Sheep even  when a trail is well laid out still  need a shepherd to gather and lead. They will wander no matter how clear the path is. They rely on the shepherd because he has been there before and those sheep trust him.

We too need wisdom and we need a shepherd. We want someone who knows the way of those trails and we need someone who we can trust and have faith in when we wander! I think we sometimes can be like those sheep and even when that path is clear we often tend go our our own way!

I am reminded of Psalm 23 and I would like to share the following:

The Lord is my shepherd....that is a Relationship!
I shall not want....that is Supply!
He maketh me to lie in green pastures....that is Rest!
He leadeth me beside still waters....that is Refreshment!
He restoreth my soul....that is Healing!
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness....that is Guidance!
For His name sake....that is Purpose!
Yea though I walk through the valley of death....that is Testing!
I will fear no evil....that is Protection!
For thou art with me....that is faithfulness!
Thy rod and Thy staff they comfort me....that is Discipline!
Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies....that is Hope!
Thou annointest my head with oil....that is Consecration!
My cup runneth over....that is Abundance!
Surey goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life....that is Blessing!
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord....that is Security!
Forever....that is Eternity!

I would like to include some photos of sheep grazing. I had taken these on a day out at Blenheim Palace.
