Wonderful Unexpected Surprises!

I was thinking today about yesterday. It was a day of surprises! I was in the town with a friend late afternoon and we just browsed! It was a nice warm day and I did not even need my coat! Now that is a surprise with our weather here! I was making my way home when Natalie my daughter rang and said she was in Oxford as she had been visiting her partners grandfather. He has been very unwell and had to undergo major surgery. So Natalie thought that she would surprise me! This was wonderfull! Natalie and James then took me out for dinner. This was such a nice surprise for me! I had a lovely time.

Then my honey bought me a bottle of my favourite perfume!! This so pleased me and touched my heart! So it is the little unexpected surprises that warm our hearts and make our day! I am blessed!

And to share a couple of quotes:

"Life holds so many simple blessings. Each day bringing it's own individual wonder."
                                     Steve Mariboli

"I am thankful to God from whom all blessings flow and to my family and friends who enrich my life."
                                     Author Unknown

I really like these two quotes and I so enjoy sharing quotes that I  have found meaningful.

I would like to share photos of Natalie and James.

  1. Linda, isn't it wonderful how even the simplest of things can bless our days! I am so glad that you got these surprises today, & I hope you get many more to come! Do you know one of my best surprises??? That evening that I heard a knock at our door in Caversfield, & there you stood. I never dreamed that surprise visit would mean a best friendship that is 'still' the best after over 20 years! Can you believe it's been that long??? I love you Linda. Have a blessed weekend!

  11. Linda, Thanks for dropping by my blog. It is so nice to meet you and visit your blog. What lovely pictures you have posted, including the ones of your family.

I'm assuming you are British. When I saw you live in Britain, it triggered some crazy sound device in my brain and now when I read your blog it has a British accent in my mind. I swear, I couldn't read it without it sounding British. Charming! You can read my blog with an American Southern accent if you know what that sounds like. Think Gone With the Wind, if you've seen it. I hope I don't sound patronizing. I don't mean to. I'm just thrilled to have a friend in the United Kingdom!

  13. I thought I had left a comment yesterday, but guess I didn't. At first I thought I recognized the picture of the church then I realized you were not in the USA. I live in Oxford, NC and we have a church that looks almost just like that! I will have to take a picture of it so you can see how similar they are! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Hope to see more of you in the future.
