An Attitude Of Gratitude

Do you often sit and reflect on all of your blessings? I know that I do and I have so much to be thankful for! The past year and a half for me has been a painful and often difficult journey at times. However, my growth has been enormous and I am so glad that I have been molded like clay in the Potters hands.

As Thanksgiving Day approaches and this is a day to reflect on our blessings and to give thanks I would ask how many of us actually give thanks each and every day? We need to develop an attitude of gratitude to God for all our blessings. Eveything we have is a gift from God and I am reminded of:

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning. James 1:17

Life can hand us hard and difficult times sometimes but think about your attitude-is it one of gratitude? Are you thanking and praising God for everything that comes your way? To be a solid, confident and unshakeable Christian, praise Him! When things go wrong praise Him! When your body aches praise Him! Develop an attitude of gratitude and praise and thank Him for everything even when it is difficult and you do not feel like it!Praise Him, praise Him!

Jesus is the best gift we could ever receive or give!

  1. I join you in the hard times. For us it has been the last 3 yrs. Gratitude is something not many people think about. Even through the difficult and most painful times of our life, I try not to forget to thank God for all the blessings He has bestowed upon us. I know He has a storehouse full of more blessing to come our way, and I cannot wait!

  2. Amen, Linda. I have found that I can praise
Him in all things. Making a sacrifice of
praise when things aren't going well causes
the atmosphere to change and send the enemy
on his way. So praise Him, praise Him, praise
    Him!
    Blessings,
    Sandy

  3. Amen, beautiful post Linda. I started a gratitude journal in January this year. Listing what I'm thankful for every day has opened my eyes to the things that God does for me on a daily basis that I may not have noticed otherwise.
    Thanks for sharing.

    BTW, love your beautiful pics.

  4. Hi Linda, I enjoyed the pictures. I like to see pretty leaves too. I don't even like to rake the leaves when they fall because they are so pretty. Have a great week. Hugs
